[COCOLOCO - Singapore's First Raw Organic Pure Coconut Water. January 2017]
After two years of intensive R&D, we are finally ready to relaunch COCOLOCO. What has changed? COCOLOCO is now organic certified and Singapore Healthier Choice certified. Improved shelf life from 2 days to 90 days.
Employing state of the art High Pressure Processing technology (HPP), we essentially pressurise COCOLOCO to 6000 bar/600MPa (that is 6x the pressure of the deepest ocean on earth). In doing so it eliminates pathogens and microorganisms without affecting the nutrients, quality and flavours of fresh coconut water which we so love.
Our coconut water may turn slightly pink due to a naturally occurring reaction of light and phenolic antioxidants present in the natural juice (look out for the new bottle label). Young coconut (from which COCOLOCO is made from) contains different amount of two enzymes (polyphenol oxidase, PPO and peroxidase, POD) which can cause pinking. Only truly raw, fresh, pure coconut water turns pink. Pasteurised or preserved coconut water will not turn pink due to their heat or chemicals preservatives.
Hence we are proud to announce that we are Singapore's first HPP coconut water brand.
